New copper (II) complex with general formula {Cu L (H 2 O)} and Schiff base ligand ( L = ((E)-5-((4- Hydroxy-3- methoxy benzyliden) amino) isophetalic acid)) synthesized and charactherized by FT-IR, UV-Vis, TGA, CHN, 1 H-NMR, XRD and FE-SEM methods. Blend Cu (II) metal complex and nanoparticles of titanium dioxide were prepared and their morphology was detected by FT- IR, XRD, FE-SEM, solid state UV-Vis methods. This mixture was calcined at 450 0 C for 4h and its photocatalytic activity was investigated by methylen blue and methyl orang degradation tests in aqueous solution under sunlight and visible light. In the other section, the synthesized complex was used as a sorbent to removal Pb (II), Cd (II) and Hg (II) metal ions from aqueous solutions. The adsorption process was studied by studing the effects of various paramrters such as pH, contact time, temperature, concentration of ionic solutions and the amount of adsorbent on adsorption efficiency. In order to better understanding of the adsorption process, kinetics and equilibrium isotherms were investigated. It was also found that the kinetic equations followed of the first-order kinetic equation for three ions.
