In this study, modified magnetic nanoparticles of iron oxide (Fe 3 O 4 ) was employed as the basis for stabilization of palladium. Thus, initially, Iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles was synthesized by co-precipitating method from Fe 3+ and Fe +2 chloride under basic candition. Next, in order to maintain the stability and the prevent the oxidation, the surface of the magnetic nanoparticles were coated by chitosan. Then, to functionalize the supported, magnetite chitosan was reacted with Schiff based ligand and the catalyst was synthesized by the reaction with palladium acetate. Moreover, the synthesized catalyst was characterized by different techniques such as FT-IR, SEM, TEM, VSM, TGA, EDX and XRD and investigated was in the Heck and Suzuki reactions. Furthermore to optimed the reaction conditions, various bases and splvent under diffirent tempreture were tried. The best results were obtamed using KOH and K 2 CO 3 as mild bases and EtOH and water as green meida at room temperature in 5-98% yields.
