In this study, ZrO 2 -MgO nanocomposites with different molar ratio have been prepared with organic additives such as sucrose and tartaric acid for the first time, using sol-gel method. Sucrose and its derivated components are known as chelating agent for metal cations and fuel for the combustion process. In this process, sucrose used as a gelatin agent to arise stability of Zr(OH) 4 in a solution. The particle sizes, morphology of surface, and types of crystalline structure have been investigated by FE-SEM and XRD analysis. To identifying of the functional groups and elements, FT-IR and EDX analysis have been used. The particle size was reached in ranges about 35 ± 5 nm. Also the optical properties of these nanocomposites have investigated by UV-Vis analysis and a maximum wave length of 284 nm (4.36 eV) was achieved. On the other hands, the synthesized nanocomposites were used as anti-corrosive coating. In this way, the 316L type steel electrods were coated by deep coating method and corrosive properties were investigated by potentiostat device. The results showed the appropriate corrosion stability for steel electrods with three and five layer coatings which were calcinated in 300, 500 and 700 ?C.
