Cyclotron is one of the radio frequency accelerators, which uses electric field to accelerate the particles, and the magnetic field to confine its path in a circular way. cyclotron is usually used to accelerate positive charged ions. The main components of the accelerator are electromagnet, the ion source, vacuum system and radio frequency system. Physics department with cooperation central laboratory at Isfahan university of technology perform a project of manufacturing a cyclotron. The subject of this thesis is evaluating the optimum values of the main parameters to design the electromagnet of the cyclotron, and determining the length of the particle path and vacuum conditions. For this purpose, we used CST code to simulate the electromagnet. We have also solved the equation of motion of the particle to determine the path of the particle in the cyclotron, so the place of deflector can be obtained. The simulation was done for several cyclotrons with 1, 2 and 10 MeV energy which have different applications among production of radio isotopes.
