. Given the growing population in urban areas, the need to development metro lines and power transmission and telecommunication tunnels is inevitable. These tunnels need to be excavated near the ground and at shallow depths, such as accessibility, service needs, and economic conditions. On the other hand, due to existing surface structures, the implementation of new underground projects faces limitations such as settlement. In urban areas, the ground is usually composed of alluvial sediments or highly weathered rocks, which in both cases encounter high displacements during tunnel excavation.he implementation of the umbrella arch system, in particular the use of forepolling, has been accepted as a solution for settlement control. In order to design the proposed pattern for the placement of the umbrella arch system, parameters such as the distance from the center to the center of the boreholes, the length of the steel tubes and their overlap length, the angle of installation of the umbrella arch system to the horizon, the angle of overlap with the tunnel cross section, as well as the diameter and The thickness of the tubing of the umbrella arch system should be taken into account. In this research, first, the methods of designing the umbrella arch system and all the effective parameters in its design have been studied. Then the introduction of Rokh Tunnel as part of the Beheshtabad Tunnel project has been discussed. Due to the instability problems at the tunnel portal, the umbrella arch system has been considered as a pre-consolidation factor in this tunnel. Also, considering the tool behavior of the instrumentation in the Birgel Railway Tunnel, three scenarios regarding the design of the umbrella arch system have been studied. In the first scenario, the umbrella arch system is evaluated as a single beam and finally the column beam from the structural point of view, the element of the umbrella arch system is evaluated. In the second scenario, however, critical Strain of the tunnel. In the third scenario of the reinforced area around the tunnel, the performance of the umbrella arch system is evaluated. The results show that the beam scenario proposes stability factor 1 for the design and the critical strain scenario based on the Sakurai criterion cannot be a suitable criterion for the design of forepolling. The design of the umbrella arch system should consider the area around the tunnel as an area consolidated with certain features and properties. The bending anchor created along the umbrella arch system is recognized as the most important factor controlling system stability. Then, according to the calibration model performed, the arrangement of the umbrella arch system in the Rokh tunnel has been studied based on the scenarios of the consolidated region and the appropriate arrangement for design has been introduced.
