Application of organic wastes on the agricultural land as fertilizers enables the recycling of valuable components such as organic matter and many plant nutrients. The management and application of organic wastes in agricultural lands decreases environmental risks and increases utilization of these matters. The objectives of this study were to evaluate and compare the effect of Polyacril sewage sludge, municipal compost and manure on soil quality indices and effect on time on these indices. Treatments were sewage sludge of Polyacril factory, municipal compost and manure in two rate (15 and 45 t ha) and control (without application of organic waste). The experiments were carried out in a randomized complete block design with three replications that include twenty one experimental plots (three plots for each treatment: one control without sludge and three types of organic waste treatments) 6 m long and 6 m wide each were for the study. Organic amendments were incorporated into 0-20 cm depth before planting corn ( Zea Mays L.). Soil samples were collected after 31, 74, 132 and 241 days after application of organic wastes in the lands and corn harvested synchronous with third sampling. The results showed that the application of organic wastes improved soil physical properties, including bulk density, saturated hydraulic conductivity, aggregate stability and infiltration rate, however, application of sewage sludge decreased the saturated hydraulic conductivity and infiltration rate. Application of organic wastes also significantly increased electrical conductivity (EC), soil organic matter (SOM) and total nitrogen as compared to the control. Evaluation of biological properties as affected by the application of organic wastes showed that the application of organic wastes significantly increased soil respiration and urease activity. Corn yield components were increased significantly by the application of organic waste. Application of organic wastes significantly increased DTPA-extractable concentrations of Fe, Zn and Cu in soil as compared to the control.
