Todays, change in management methods is for production increase, which lead to immune and health decline. Goal of this project is effect of yeast cell wall and plant cell wall as prebiotic on performance, health and immune of dairy calves. Seventy five Holstein dairy calves (initial body weight= 40±2 kg) were investigated about effect of two kinds of prebiotics (yeast cell wall and plant cell wall) in to milk replacer or starter. Calves were randomly assigned to 5 treatments including: control group (without any prebiotic), 5 gram Biolex MB40 into milk, 5 gram herbal prebiotic into milk, 1 kg Biolex MB40 per 1 ton of starter, and 1 kg herbal prebiotic per 1 ton starter. Biolex MB40 mixed in milk caused increased feed intake more than all treatments; after it the best treat about body weight gain, was herbal prebiotic mixed in feed. There was a same result about the skeletal growth; Biolex MB40 in milk leaded to best calves’ skeletal growth, and the less body and skeletal growth was in in control group. The less pH and ammonia nitrogen subsequently of those the less volatile fatty acids of rumen liquid were in Biolex MB40 in milk and herbal prebiotic in feed. The high fecal score and diarrhea day’s frequency were observed in control group, and the other treatments had no significant difference with each other. Was observed no difference between all groups for dry matter and natural detergent fiber digestibility, though were observed significantly less amount about crude protein and organic matter in feces. Lymphocyte, macrophage, IgA, and IgG increased by using of herbal prebiotic in feed more than any other groups. Results of this study revealed Boilex MB40 and herbal prebiotic have improved calves performance, health, and immunity. Keywords : Prebiotic, Dairy Calf, Performance, Immunity
