Population growth and urban development and improper land converted to impervious surfaces, have unfavorable effects on hydrology in urban areas and caused exacerbate floods, increasing pollution of runoff, increasing runoff coefficient and decreasing ground water recharge, reduce evaporation and trairation, flooding passages and increasing risk flood. In areas with water scarcity, floods surface runoff is increasingly used as a source to complete resources and if control and restaine with proper management, can be one of the water resources in the service for human. In most arid regions cities, water scarcity is a major factor limiting the development of landscape, Also each year spends huge sums for urban landscape irrigation. The major part of precipitation due to lack of synchronization with irrigation or without storing is unavailable, and sometimes may be caused flooding and damage. If part of precipitation, extraction and storage, can provides part of the water requirements of landscape. The aim of this study was to estimate urban runoff for using in urban landscape in Najaf Abad. In this study CivilStorm software was used to simulate rainfall-runoff process by using the model the run-off and flood volume was estimated for each subbasin and to determine the physical parameters of the basin (including area, slope and ... ) GIS software was used. Rational method was used to calculate runoff. Also the water requirements of urban landscape was calculated. The results indicate that water needs of Najaf Abad's urban landscape is about 22.4 percent of urban runoff in the region. So with necessary measures including grids collect and redirect runoff and also storage tanks in the right proportions, it is possible to save the runoff caused by rainfall in the city and use for landscape irrigation.
