Nickel-based coatings are one of the conventional coatings that deposited on parts that exposed to extreme wear. One of these coatings is the NiCrBSi alloy. In this study the effect of heat treatment on microstructure, hardness and tribological behavior of the HP/HVOF sprayed NiCrBSi on 316 stainless steel analyzed. The results obtained by metallographic, hardness and abrasion tests indicate that the hardness of coating increases from 200 to 650 Vickers. In addition, the coating increases the wear resistance of the specimens. Heat treatment of the coatings at 950 and 1000 ° C for one hour reduce the porosity, hardness and increase the wear resistance of specimens.
