TITLE

Evaluation of coupled heat and moisture transfer in single layer fabrics with CFD
During the past decades, perceiving the role of clothes in making a balance in the human thermal has been widely attracted clothing industries attention. Human body is rarely under steady state situation and is continuously under physical activities and different environmental conditions. clothes, which act as a media between skin and environment, play a vital role in protecting the body exposed to various conditions. Therefore, in order to provide the comfort sensing during the thermal balance period, a microclimate around the skin is formed. The role of Clothes is to adjust the human thermal system to be kept in the proper range of comfort sense. Heat and mass transfer have a great importance on clothing comfort and protecting human in severe conditions. Therefore, the main purpose of this research is to investigate simultaneous transferring of heat and mass on clothes. Since the experimental methods are expensive and costly, modeling can help to reduce it. In order to simulate and predict the heat and mass transfer in porous media, CFD (computational fluid dynamics) is used in this research. Significant simulation time reduction and ultimate details expression of complex systems are the advantages of CFD. In order to validate the model performance, the results were compared with the experimental results of the cotton and polyester samples. Results showed the acceptable precision of model
