Analysis of variance was performed and it showed that adsorbent dosage has the most contribution in the removal of reactive colorant. For acidic colorant pH is determined as the most important parameter. Results revealed that reactive colorant group was removed with 40%, while acidic colorant group was removed with 50%. Comparing activated carbon with oak seed in dye removal showed that oak seed is more capable of removing reactive colorant group than activated carbon while it showed less adsorption capacity comparing to activated carbon when it came to acidic colorant group adsorption. Different isotherm models were investigated to match the process in the third part. Langmuir, Freundlich and BET isotherm models were selected. The equilibrium process was described well by Freundlich model for both two colorant groups.
