Thysanoptera, despite their small size , play an important role in natural and agricultural ecosystems , and they have a wide range of diets. Many species due to their ability to cause direct and indirect damage by feeding on crops and virus transmission, are economically important . Some of them also have a role in pest control and they are predator of other Thysanoptera, aphids, mites and other small arthropods. In this study the collection and identification of Thysanoptera in regions of Isfahan province and Chaharmahal va Bakhtiari province was carried out during 2016-2018. Thysanoptera were collected by shaking various plants, including fruitful, unproductive, ornamental, crop, orchard plant and weeds. In order to make microscopic slide, the specimens were cleared in NaOH (2%) and mounted in Hoyers medium in laboratory. In this study, 30 species belonging to 14 genera and four families of two orders؛ Tubulifera and Terebrantia were identified. Also, a new species of genera Odontothrips was reported for world, In general 17 new species were reported for the Isfahan and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, which are marked with * Terebrantia, Aeolothripidae : Aeolothrips mongolicus , Aeolothrips montivagus * , Aeolothrips ericae *, Aeolothrips intermdius Terebrantia, Melanthripida e: Melanthrips fuscus * Terebrantia, Thripidae : Anaphothrips obscurus , Anaphothrips sudanensis *, Aptinothrips rufus , Eremiothrips varius , Franklinella intonsa , Frankliniella occidentalis , Franklinella tenuicornis , Kakothrips pisivorus * , eohydatothrips amygdali * , eohydatothrips tadzhicus * , Odontothrips confuse * , Odontothrips loti * , Odontothrips sp * , Rytithrips syriacus *, Scolothrips longicornis *, Tenothrips discolor , Tenothrips frici * , Tenothrips reichordti * , Thrips meridionalis , Thrips tabaci Thrips trybomi * Tubulifera, Phlaeothripidae : Haplothrips ganglbaueri * , Haplothrips reuteri , Haplothrips tritici , Haplothrips verbasci *Two species Frankliniella Occidentalis and Tenothrip frici from Thripidae and a species Aeolothirips mongolicus from the Aeolothripdae and a species Haplothrips reuteri from the Haplothripidae are the most frequent species in these regions. Most species are vegetarian and some are important agricultural crop pests . Species collected from two genera ؛ Aeolothrips and Scolothrips are predators. Keywords : Thysanoptera, Predator, Pest.
