Carbon emission is one of the most critical factors in increasing global warming. Therefore, it is necessary to control and reduce carbon emission. The present study considers a closed-loop supply chain that focuses on two essential factors in controlling and reducing carbon emission. These two factors include controlling and reducing carbon emission in the forward supply chain and reducing carbon emission in the reverse supply chain. In the forward supply chain, the effect of investing in low-carbon technologies in the product manufacturing process and in the reverse supply chain, the effect of collecting and remanufacturing tack back products on carbon emissions reduction is examined . Two factors carbon cap-and-trade regulation and consumer environmental awareness force manufacturer to invest in low-carbon technologies.
