Land degradation due to human activities and land use change is currently considered as the main threats of biodiversity in different parts of the world. It is crucial to predicting the species habitat in order to conserve it from degradation. In the forests of Kurdistan Province and because of the land and environmental degradation increase and illegal huntings, the brown bear is placed among the threatened species. In this study, forthy occurrence records of brown bear ( Ursus arctos ) coupled with environmental data including physiography, anthropogenic and climatic variables were collected and ecological niche of this species was predicted and then assessed using species distribution modeling of Maximum Enthropy. Satellite imagery of TM5 and OLI collected in the years 1990 and 2017 respectively, were employed to investigate the land use changes during this period of time. The images were geometrically and radiometrically corrected and enhanced radiometrically, then in order to determine the training areas on the images for supervised left;"
