Iran with average rainfall of 251 mm per year, is one of arid and semi-arid regions of the world's. In recent years the limitions of exploitable water resources, increasing urbanization and occurrence of drought, planning for water resources has encountered with many challenges. The authorities must have their attention on planning for the development of conventional and non-conventional sources of water (including wastewater and domestic). Reuse of treated wastewater is a source of water available especially in years that there is problem of water shortage. Because municipal wastewater less affected by drought, so the treated wastewater is a reliable source of water for reuse in agriculture and other uses. The present study aimed to investigate the views of farmers on the application of the treated wastewater for irrigation of crops, in the villages of Khorramabad Township. The study was done by a descriptive-surveying method including field and documentary data. The validity of research tool was obtained by the idea of experts and for reliability of questionnaires a pilot test was conducted. The Cronbach’ Alpha coefficient of higher than 0.7 showed that research tool was reliable. The population studied in this research were farmers in Khorramabad Township that applying trated wastewater effluent to irrigate their fields.
