In this thesis, Zero Current Transition (ZCT) and Zero Voltage Transition (ZVT) techniques are investigated and new families of theses converters are introduced. Furthermore, the idea of ZVT and ZCT converters is extended to create a new family of soft transition PWM converters with current sharing capability. In every section of the thesis, one of the proposed converters is completely analyzed and design considerations are discussed. Also, experimental results are presented to justify the presented theoretical analysis. Furthermore, in each section, the proposed converters are compared with other similar conventional soft switching converters using simulation results. Key Words DC-DC converters, Soft switching, Zero voltage switching, Zero current switching.
