Poly vinyl chloride is on of the most consuming polymers that produced in world. Its main industrial production method is based on free radical polymerization in a suspension batch process. For optimization of batch operation time, considering process of production constraints, initially modeling of the process based on kinetic and thermodynamic equations has performed. Simulation results verify the exiting results in a reference paper. Based on project’s goal, optimization of temperature trajectory by using Genetic Algorithm with constraints of molecular weight and reactor thermal capacity has done. It led to reduction of the polymerization process batch time in non-isothermal condition while maximizing usage of available reactor cooling capacity. Produced polymer has desire molecular and morphological properties with a narrow molecular size distribution. Furthermore, by following the optimal temperature trajectory, the economic yield can be increased by reduction of operating time. By implementing of optimal condition on industrial data from Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex, reasonable results have experienced.
