Due to the increasing competition of globalization and fast technological improvements, world markets demand companies to have quality and professional human resources. This can only be achieved by employing otentially adequate personnel. Many individual attributes considered for personnel selection such as organizing ability, creativity, personality, and leadership exhibit vagueness and imprecision. Selecting the most appropriate personnel is one of the key factors leading to an organization’s success. Personnel selection problem, which considers several individual attributes exhibiting vagueness and imprecision, may be regarded as a highly important group decision making problem. In phase 4, a fuzzy ranking method is able to rank the evaluation samples. Finally, in phase 5 dual mathematical programming model of fuzzy DEA applied to determine improvement of low-efficiency alternatives. A case study on an oil and gas company shows that the proposed method is very suitable for practical applications, and more importantly, can deal with the personnel selection problem more convincingly and persuasively. In order to prove the feasibility of the proposed method, fuzzy ANP, fuzzy DEA and integrating ANP and fuzzy DEA are adopted for the purpose of comparison. The porposed model can used to determining best of personnel and is suitable for assessment and optimization of personnel productivity in a company. This study supports the applications of fuzzy ANP and fuzzy DEA as decision support tools in personnel selection.
