Nowadays, many organizations try to achive excellence with deploying performance measurement systems in the basis of the philosophy of total quality management.One of these models , the EFQM model, is employed to construct a framework to evaluate organization’s achievement to excellence by providing continuos improvement , process deployment and benchmarking.On the other hand, the necessity of certainty of strategies and goals, propels the organization to create an aligning system to the strategy for performance evaluation.The Balanced Scorecard is an approach to performance measurement that translates an organisation’s strategic objectives into a useful set of performance measurements.The suggestion of European Foundation for Quality Management is that these two models are supplement and synchronous use of them can lead the organization to achive a high level of excellence.The main idea of this research is synchronous use of the BSC and EFQM models in Esfahan petrochemical company , we have designed the first Balanced Scorecard in the basis of opinion polling from organization’s experts, this case contains to determin of strategic objectives, to assign of performance evaluation indicators ,to design the strategy map, to demonstrate the relation between BSC indicators and EFQM enablers and at the end to demonstrate the priority of self-assesment improvement projects in the basis of strategic objectives.
