Population growth and urbanization are the factors contributing to the increase of air temperature in urban areas, which creates heat islands in this region compared to the surroundings. In fact, warming the urban environment is one of the unconscious effects of unsustainable urban development. Examining the status of scattering of thermal radiation and its relationship with the type of the land use is of the paramount importance to identification of the urban microclimate. Temperature is a factor that will affect from the environmental condition and surface coverage and also is considered as an indicator of environmental quality. On the other hand, land use planning as the core of the urban studies, is the searching set of strategies for the environmental, social and ecological city towards the goals of sustainable development. Therefore, the influence of the rate of urban land use in the formation of heat islands can be facilitating a way to urban strategies to controlling or reduction Heat Island. In this study, in addition of emphasis on the impact of impervious surfaces and green cover on the temperature model in Isfahan, land use map for the 1364 until 1389 is provided by using the images of Landsat TM satellite in 9 Keywords: Heat Island, Land surface temperature, land use, Air temperature, Isfahan city.
