Nowadays, particle accelerators are used invarious fields such as science, industrial, medical, art and, archeology.Accelerators are in different types, e.g. the cyclotrons. Baby cyclotrons areused to produce radioisotopes to diagnose cancers. This system consists ofvarious parts such as the ion source, the electromagnet, the cavity, the RF(radio frequency) system and, the extractor. The RF system produces, amplifies,and transfers the RF power to the cavity. The main components of thistransmission line are the RF window and the directional coupler. The RF windowtransfers the RF power to the cavity. We investigate the resonance conditionusing the directional coupler to take samples of the incoming and the outgoingRF waves. In this project, we design a 72 MHz coaxial transmission line at 10KW for a baby cyclotron.
