The natural staple fibres are the most applicable fibres in the textile industry especially in clothing products. They reveal favorite properties including efficient cover factor, heat resistance, suitable moisture absorption and handle. However they show undesirable properties like high hairiness, low rubbing properties and low tensile strength. Blending natural fibres component with synthetic fibres, eliminates undesirable properties of each and generate, product with better properties. So mingling and blending of them in staple or filament form with natural fibres always had been considerable. In this study a method designed for mingling of filament yarn with spun yarn using intermingling jet. Intermingling is the current method for creating enough strength in yarn by joining continues filaments to each other. This system has some advantages. For instance high speed producing and not to cause environmental problems compared to sizing and etc. A few researches have been accomplished on this area in attention to importance of the subject. In the study, we decided to investigate and optimize air pressure, yarn take up speed and spun yarn twist factor, as important factors. The factores investigate, have been changed and then physical and mechanical properties of produced yarns and fabrics, have been determined. Due to the analysis of the data obtained, it can concluded that the produced yarn in this systems have a suitable quality and properties, especially in abrasion resistance compare to conventional staple yarn. This technique also could reduce the cost of the production and lower the preparation process of the yarn and may be used as a replace of the complex and costly techniques such as sizing.
