In order to survive in the global competition, manufacturers have to meet retailers demands in different situations appropriately. Designing a supply chain network which is related to configuration is a strategic decision and it has a long-term effect on tactical and operational decisions of companies. Due to large volume of traortation, logistic companies have employed cross dock system in lean supply chain design. Cross dock is a logistic component that can decrease inventory and traortation cost and increase customer satisfaction. By having this component, goods are distributed throughout cross dock system. In this system, after receiving from suppliers, goods are collected in cross dock and then after processing loading and unloading operations, those goods are shipped to customers. It is noteworthy that the holing time is so short.
